Methodology: This review organizes and analyzes current scientific findings related to its phytochemical constituents and therapeutic properties. Literature was collected primarily through Google Scholar, with access to articles from PubMed, Science Direct, and Research Gate. Most studies reviewed involved the extraction of plant which used for the phytochemical screening and biological assays. These effects have been demonstrated through various in vitro (laboratory-based) and in vivo (animal model) studies.
